Packers and Movers About City - Bangalore
Perched on an elevation of nearly a kilometre, nestled among the clouds is the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore. The city was officially renamed Bengaluru in 2006 and the central government officially recognised the change in 2014.
Bangalore can trace its history back to the 10th century when it was ruled by Jain kings. A stone tablet in a temple on the outskirts of the city speaks of a battle waged here called the Battle of Bengaluru which is the earliest piece of evidence pointing toward the city’s existence.
While it served as the capital of Mysore state under the British raj and the subsequent state of Karnataka, it gained great traction after the liberalisation of industries in the 90s and it has grown exponentially since, far greater than anybody imagined.
As its apt sobriquet suggests, it is the IT capital of India and the country’s biggest startup hub. It is home to some of the biggest corporations in the world and some of India’s biggest research facilities.
It is also known for its great educational institutes and students and employees alike throng the city for its opportunities. One of the reasons for its growth is its impeccable climatic condition. It is pleasant pretty much all year round with warm summers and cool winters. It also receives an ample amount of rainfall during the monsoon.
While the city has great positives, like its culture, weather and career opportunities, it also has a couple of negatives. Bangalore’s infrastructure has barely kept up with its rapid expansion and growth and is lacking on some fronts.
The city however has great connectivity to other cities through its national highways, trains and airways. KIA, short for Kempegowda International Airport is one of the largest and most advanced in the country. The city also has great public transport but is let down by its roads which more often than not are not up to the standards that befit such a great city.
